Support for Families During “The Wait”
Families with Children from China, East Tennessee, connects waiting families with each other for common support and education. This group provides information on many of the ins and outs of the adoption process and waiting period through discussion groups, social activities, and informative speakers (on topics such as attachment and bonding, packing for China, and the re-adoption process).
The Waiting Family Group meets monthly on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. until noon at the West Knoxville Branch, Knox County Library, 100 Golf Club Road, at the intersection of Kingston Pike and Papermill Road. (The location may change for social gatherings.)
Waiting families who join FCC-ET and pay the annual membership dues are also invited and encouraged to attend our other events such as Chinese New Year, the Dragon Boat Festival, the Moon Festival, and other activities, to get better acquainted with more families. For more information, check the calendar of events on the main home page.
This is a great way to meet other families, make new friends and support each other. If you have any questions or need further information, please e-mail fccetwaitingfamily@yahoo.com
We look forward to seeing you soon.
